It has been our joy and privilege to know Shirley Coleman for many years. Numerous times during that period, we have seen her minister to people in different and special ways. One of the ways she ministers to people is with her infectious smile and her enthusiastic and vibrant personality. When Shirley comes into a room, she lights the place up with her joy and exuberance.
She has the touch of God on her life and ministry. She is one of the most authentic, real people we have ever known. It’s so wonderful to realize that on top of all the great characteristics God has entrusted to Shirley, He gave her the voice of an angel. When Shirley sings, the Spirit of God goes to work in the lives of those who listen. The Almighty uses her voice and her life to bring hope, peace, joy and salvation to a needy world.
A number of years ago, while we were ministering in a small country church in Arizona, we asked Shirley if she would come to our fellowship to sing and share with our people. Without hesitation she said, “I’d love to.” She came and sang for us that day, and on a number of other occasions as well. Many lives were blessed and touched as a result of her availability to God and others.
Over the last couple of decades, we have seen Christian music develop into a giant force in our culture, the country and around the world. The music of the church has always been powerful, and God is using it once again to give the world perhaps their best and maybe their last opportunity to turn their lives to Him before He draws to a close the curtain of time.
Shirley has been called by God to sing and speak to her generation about the things that last forever! She does this with a gracious spirit, an incredible voice and a loving heart. We highly recommend her ministry to you. We have been blessed by this marvelous servant of the living God and you will be blessed as well!
We encourage you to experience one of Shirley’s concerts first hand, or just purchase one of her CD’s, and bring this inspired music to your home and family. Then, we all can join together with the Psalmist as He says in Psalm 40:3 … "He has given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God. Now many will hear of the glorious things He did for me, and stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in Him."
